Dry Needling Techniques for Sports Injuries - Plymouth


The course will be taught by the UK’s leading clinical educator in acupuncture and dry needling and renowned tutor to high performance organisations, such as the English FA, Premier Football, Team GB, the English National Ballet and MoD as well as the US military and NFL.


This comprehensive dry needling course will take attendees from novice to skilled practitioner and is composed of three days of practical content combined with online theory presentations.

Theory will cover the essential mechanisms of dry needling, safety, the evidence base and clinical reasoning.

The practical aspect of the course is taught over 3 days covers dry needling to all major muscle groups in the scapulothoracic and upper limb region, the lumbopelvic and lower limb region, and the  cervical region.

 The course has been successfully devised by us here at ProActive Training where we have delivered short courses for undergraduate and postgraduates since 2006. Since this time, we have delivered courses at over 35 different Universities across the UK. These include courses in Sports Massage, Sports Taping, Kinesiology Taping, Joint Mobilisation Techniques, Strength and Conditioning as well as bespoke courses. What does the course cover?

The course covers a clinically reasoned approach to dry needling with protocols that tie in with manual therapy and exercise management and features practical strategies for the clinical "quick win".' We have also tailored the delivery to be closely aligned to managing sports injuries with dry needling techniques.
